About Your Tutor

Hi, I'm Karan.

I'm a Doctor of Medicine (MD) student at the University of Toronto and a former Western University National Scholar. I maintained a 95.3% average while publishing peer-reviewed research in AI and medical imaging during undergrad.

I've always been passionate about teaching. I started tutoring students back in high school and loved helping them succeed. Later, as a student researcher, I taught faculty and students about my research. That passion is exactly why I tutor today.

Do you tutor in person or online?

All sessions are 100% online, live and 1-on-1 over video call (Zoom or Google Meet). This lets us work from a shared screen or digital whiteboard and keeps scheduling flexible no matter where you're located.

What grade levels and courses do you tutor?

High school: Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Mathematics of Data Management, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. University: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and MCAT.

How long are sessions, and how often should we meet?

Most sessions run an hour, though this is flexible based on your needs. Weekly sessions work well for ongoing coursework; more frequent sessions are available leading into exams or tests.

Can I get help with more than one subject?

Absolutely — many students work with me across more than one course at a time (for example, Calculus and Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry together). The flat hourly rate stays the same regardless of subject.
